The story of Wicked Broadway is that of two young girls, one green-skinned, fiery spirited, high strung, smart and misunderstood and one pretty and popular and good natured as she is ambitious and how the two friends became nemeses Glinda the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of the West.
Come to life through the wizardry of Oscar-winning composer of "Pocahontas" and "The Prince of Egypt" Stephen Schwartz ("Pippin", "Godspell") and book writer Winne Holzman ("thirtysomething", "My So Called Life", "Once and Again"). The musical staging is the work of Tony winner Wayne Cilento ("Aida", "The Who's Tommy", "How to Succeed in Business…"). Having originated the roles of Elphaba and Glinda in the Wicked musical in Chicago, Ana Gasteyer ("The Threepenny Opera", "The Rocky Horror Show" and 7 seasons as a regular on TV's "Saturday Night Live") and Kate Reinders ("Good Vibrations", "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer", "Into the Woods", "Gypsy", "A Year with Frog and Toad") revitalize those landmark role here in Wicked Broadway.
At their side is comic legend of stage and screen Carol Kane as Madame Horrible, Steven Skybell ("The Full Monty", "Love! Valour! Compassion!", "Café Crown", "Ah Wilderness") as Dr. Dillamond, a fresh-faced cast of new Broadway talent and, as the questionably wonderful Wizard of Oz himself, Tony nominee for "A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine" David Garrison ("Pirates of Penzance", "Torch Song Trilogy", "Titanic", "Bells Are Ringing" and best known to TV audiences on "Married with Children" as the Bundy's neighbor Steve).
