Created by actor/librettist George Furth (Merrily We Roll Along) and the wildly prolific Stephen Sondheim (West Side Story, Gypsy, Sweeney Todd, Sunday in the Park with George, Into the Woods, Assassins, and more), the Company Broadway musical promised to be a smash hit before the curtain even opened on opening night - and was it ever!

Company Musical Tickets Information
A Company music ticket gives you a personal invitation to Bobby's 35th birthday party, along with 5 married couples whom he considers his best friends and all 3 of his girlfriends. But this is no ordinary surprise birthday party.

The Company Broadway musical does not have an exact plot per se. Rather than tell the chronological narrative of the evening's events, the Company Broadway musical splices together a series of individual moments - short vignettes - in seemingly no particular order whatsoever. What the audience is left with is a deeper sense of the worlds - inner and outer - that these 14 quirky characters inhabit.

With a Company musical ticket in your pocket, you'll be rolling with laughter in your seat as these middle aged people sing and dance their way through their middle aged problems to hilarious tunes like, "Poor Baby", "I'm Getting Married Today", "Sorry-Grateful", "You Could Drive a Person Crazy", "The Little Things You Do", "The Ladies Who Lunch", and "Being Alive".

Most interestingly about this version of the Company Broadway musical is that the actors all double as musicians, accompany themselves as they sing the show's numbers.

The Company musical ticket thrilled enough audiences and critics to garner the Company Broadway show the New York Drama Critics Circle Award and 6 Tony Awards, including "Best Musical".

When the Company musical ticket first hit the box office in 1970 at the Alvin Theatre it starred legendary greats Dean Jones, Elaine Stritch, Barbara Barrie, Beth Howland, and Charles Kimbrough.

Now the Company musical ticket has had its New York Times critically acclaimed revival at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre and the cast boasts such Broadway talents as Tony nominees Raúl Esparza (Taboo) and Barbara Walsh (Falsettos), and former Miss Ohio and Miss America runner-up Kristin Huffman. Director John Doyle, responsible for the critically lauded 2006 Broadway revival of Sondheim's Sweeney Todd, takes the helm.

The entire cast of this reimagined Company Broadway musical came to New York directly from an immensely successful run at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park.

The Company musical ticket is a ticket to sheer off-the-wall insanity. It's an hysterical and sometimes touching take on sexy and sobering topics - like relationships, sex, maturity, and commitment - that simply shouldn't be missed.
