Named after an old W.C. Handy tune of the same name, the St. Louis Blues have made beautiful music on the ice since 1967, when they joined the league in its first expansion, along with the Minnesota North Stars, the Los Angeles Kings, the Philadelphia Flyers, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the California Seals.

St. Louis Blues Tickets Information
The Blues play their home games in the 20,000-seat Scottrade Arena (once known as Kiel Center or Savvis Center) in downtown St. Louis, Missouri.

In their lengthy career, the St. Louis Blues have won seven Central Division Championships as well as the Presidents' Trophy for best season record in the league in 1999-2000. They boast five NHL Hall of Famers in their past rosters: Glenn Hall, Jacques Plante, Joe Mullen, Bernie Federko, and Grant Fuhr.

The 2005-06 team roster touts numerous NHL veterans, such as Keith Tkachuk (formerly with the Winnipeg Jets and the Phoenix Coyotes), Dough Weight (formerly with the New York Rangers, the Edmonton Oilers, and the Carolina Hurricanes), and Bill Guerin (formerly with the New Jersey Devils, the Edmonton Oilers, the Boston Bruins, and the Dallas Stars - the latter two players just added to the team this year.

Keith Tkachuk has played in four All-Star Games and four Winter Olympics, winning the silver in 2002 at Salt Lake City. Though not (yet) the leader of the Blues (that would be Dallas Drake), Tkachuk's leadership is a valuable asset to the St. Louis Blues as he was team captain of both his former NHL teams, the Jets and the Coyotes.

After a brief four-month stint with the Hurricanes (just long enough to help take them to Stanley Cup victory), Doug Weight is back with the St. Louis Blues for a fifth season. He recently played his 1,000 th game, as it happened against one of his old teams, the Edmonton Oilers (a team he was with for nine seasons, the better part of his career). Get your St. Louis Blues tickets now and see Weight deliver more of his famous high and flat-landing saucer passes.

Bill Guerin has played in three All-Star Games (earning MVP for his work on the 2000-01 team), and helped the New Jersey Devils win the Stanley Cup in 1994-95. The St. Louis Blues aren't Weight and Guerin's only joint effort. Both men have joined forces three times running on the U.S. Winter Olympics team, winning the silver in 2002.

Put together, all three star players - Tkachuk, Weight, and Guerin - give the St. Louis Bues a front line that is sure keep their opponents scrambling the whole season long.
