Pittsburgh Penguins Tickets Information
The Pens home is Mellon Arena, once known as Pittsburgh Civic Arena, and always known to fans and locals as "The Igloo".

The Pittsburgh Penguins won two consecutive Stanley Cups, in 1990-91 against the Minnesota North Stars, and in 1991-92 against the Chicago Blackhawks. They won the Presidents' Trophy, for the team with the best record in a given season, in 1992-93.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have seen six of their players inducted into the NHL Hall of Fame: Andy Bathgate, Paul Coffey, Mario Lemieux, Joe Mullen, Larry Murphy, and Bryan Trottier. Today's roster makes an excellent case for that number increasing any day now.

Take Russian sniper Evgeni Malkin, for example. He was the first player since the 1917-18 season to score goals in every one of his first 6 NHL games. Or Mark Recchi, who in his career has scored over 1,200 points. He's played in seven All-Star Games and brought pride to the Philadelphia Flyers, the Montreal Canadiens, and the Carolina Hurricanes before coming to Pittsbugh.

The Penguins' first overall draft pick in the 2003 Entry Draft, and only the third goalie to ever be drafted first overall, was Marc-Andre Fleury. Before coming to the NHL, he was a two-time silver medalist in the IIHF World Junior Championships. After a somewhat disappointing 2005-06 season for the Pittsburgh Penguins defense (through no fault of his own) Fleury is facing the 2006-07 season with a vengeance.

Another first overall pick, this time of the 2005 draft, was Sidney Crosby, a fresh-faced Nova Scotia boy who went on to place sixth in scoring his rookie season. Crosby was so sought after that year that the draft was commonly referred to as the Sidney Crosby Lottery. Clearly Sid the Kid is only getting started, which only further proves that this season's Pittsburgh Penguins tickets are chances to witness history in the making.
