Getting its start as an Expansion Team in 1993, the Florida Panthers had one of the most impressive first seasons ever for an expansion team, ending the season just 1 point below .500 but missing out nonetheless on landing the final spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs.

Florida Panthers Tickets Information
After that stellar first year, the Panthers continued to have some more close brushes with championship status, such as almost making it to the 1995 playoffs, or their 17-game winning streak in the first half of the 1996-97 season, only to trickle off due mostly to injuries in the second half. Their closest brush with success, however, came when, as the 1995-96 Eastern Conference champions, they succeeded in reaching the 1996 Stanley Cup finals only to lose it to the Colorado Avalanche.

Under the leadership of 2006 Olympic silver-medalist and team captain Olli Jokinen, the team also known as the Cats is sure to come out for the 2006-07 season with its claws bared. Olli Jokinen most recently broke his team's record for scoring 24 game-winning goals, the most since Pavel Bure. Originally a 1997 first-round draft pick for the Los Angeles Kings, Jokinen had one forgettable season with the New York Islanders before staking his position, after 65 points and 36 goals in the 2002-03 season, as the Panthers' first-line center.

The Panthers proudly welcome to their roster, former Vancouver Canuck (also after a brief and forgettable stint with the New York Islanders) Todd Bertuzzi. The team had to say goodbye to star goalie Robert Luongo in order to land him, and almost lost him this first season as a Panther due to back surgery. But now that he's back on the ice, watch out! With the long, drawn-out, off the ice battle with Colorado Avalanche Steve Moore finally behind him, there's no telling what Bertuzzi is now capable of. Bertuzzi has played in four All-Star games and was a member of Team Canada in the 2006 Winter Olympics.

Florida Panthers tickets, whether for away games or homes games at BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise Florida, will also give you a chance to see the man who helped Team Canada win the gold in Finland in the 2003 Men's World Hockey Championship, Jay Bouwmeester, in action.

Get your Florida Panthers tickets today and watch General Manager and Head Coach Jacques Martin take the Florida Panthers beyond their close-call status all the way to ultimate victory.
