Columbus Blue Jackets Tickets Information
Under the leadership of 15+ year NHL veteran, two-time Stanley Cup winner, former Quebec Nordique and Colorado Avalanche, and 2002 Winter Olympics Gold Medalist for Canada, team captain Adam Foote, the Columbus Blue Jackets is facing up to be one of the most promising inventions of the 21st century.

Stars to watch out for on the Columbus Blue Jackets roster include Ukranian Nikolai Zherdev, one of the team's biggest offensive threats, and Rick Nash, the other. In 73 games, Zherdev made 27 assists and scored 27 goals. Nash, first round draft pick in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, was sidelined for 28 of 31 games in the first half of the 2005-06 season after which he was selected to be part of Team Canada in the 2006 Winter Olympics. Both will surely be forces to be reckoned with in the upcoming season.

Also take note of 1998 Winter Olympic silver medalist and 2002 Winter Olympic bronze medalist, Ukranian Sergei Fedorov. Formerly with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim and then the Detroit Red Wings, he was first European to win the Hart Memorial Trophy for Most Valuable Player in the NHL, which he did for his stellar performance with the Red Wings in the 1993-94 season. That same year, he won the Frank J. Selke Trophy for his work on defense, and the Lester B. Pearson Award for most outstanding player as determined by the NHL Players Assocation.

Under the deft coaching of Ken "Hitch" Hitchcock, who took the Dallas Stars to a Stanley Cup win over the Buffalo Sabres in 1999, the Columbus Blue Jackets promise to make a huge impact in the world of professional hockey over the next few seasons.
