Colorado Avalanche Tickets Information
They played 7 full seasons in the WHA, making the post-seasons 7 years in a row and even going so far as to win the Avco World Trophy in 1977, before joining the NHL, along with the Winnipeg Jets, the Hartford Wailers, and the Edmonton Oilers in 1979.

For their first 7 years in the NHL, the Quebec Nordiques didn't do as well as they had in the WHA. It was only after the 1994-95 lockout that the team was sold to a group of Denver, Colorado investors and became the Colorado Avalanche we know today.

As anyone who's ever held Colorado Avalanche tickets can tell you, as soon as the team moved south and changed their name, they regained the power and command over the ice that they once held as the WHA's Nordiques, in large part thanks to the skilled work of team captain Joe Sakic (also known as captain of Team Canada in the 2006 Winter Olympics), defenseman Adam Foote, and Philadelphia Flyers trade Peter Forsberg.

Fierce contenders once again, the force now know as the Colorado Avalanche took the Northwest Division championships every year from then (1995) through 2003, winning the Western Conference championships in 1995-96 and the Stanley Cup in 2000-01.

Once and future Los Angeles King Rob Blake helped the team win the Cup that year, his first with the Avalanche after a dozen great years with the Kings, but after learning that he would not be resigned
decided to return to his old team starting in the 2006-07 season. Another recent trade leaves the team without 7-year veteran, Alex Tanguay, traded to the Calgary Flames for Jordan Leopold.

Other stars on the Colorado Avalanche tickets roster include Olympic bronze- and gold-medalist and one of the original Noriques, Milan Hejduk, and Marek Svatos who, in October of 2003 recorded his first hat-trick of his career (this against the Calgary Flames), as well as more recent Avalanche acquisition Jose Theodore, formerly of the Montreal Canadiens.
