Josh Groban Tickets Information
Josh Groban was born in Los Angeles, California in 1981, and already, with his album Closer, he's gone triple-platinum.
His career got its start in 1998 he was brought to the attention of Grammy-winning songwriting legend, producer/arranger David Foster, who took hold of his talent and gave him his start, at first as a rehearsal singer for a bunch of high-profile events, practicing with (and for) big-name stars.
Then, after singing with Sarah Brightman on her La Luna tour, he stepped out from behind the footlights to the spotlight itself, performing at the same types of big name events he had previously been a rehearsal singer for. And the rest is performance history.
He's performed on movie soundtracks, at charity events, at the Winter Olympics, and at the Vatican on Christmas. His first album self-titled, came out in 2001 and went quickly from gold to double-platinum. On it, he sings in multiple languages, including Spanish, Italian, and Latin. It is from this album that the revered track, "The Prayer" comes, recorded with Charlotte Church. His second album, Closer, debuted at #11 on Billboard's chart and rose steadily to #1.
Since then, Josh Groban has appeared on the Tonight Show, the Oprah Winfrey Show, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, the lighting of the tree at Rockefeller Center, 20/20, the Rosie O'Donnell Show, the Today Show, and Super Bowl XXXVIII.
