The television pop star name responsible for spawning a proliferation of hit record albums, videos and DVDs, books, video games, lines of clothing at Macy’s and accessories at Claire’s, and now an upcoming Hollywood major motion picture (in ’08), Hannah Montana is taking a break from her on-air home of Malibu, California and hitting the road, headed straight to the big stage near you.

Made by the same folks who gave us That’s So Raven, Hannah Montana is an Emmy-award nominated Disney Channel Original Series centered on a teenager leading a secret double-life. By day she’s Miley Stewart, your average plain-Jane schoolgirl; by night she’s Hannah Montana, Teen Pop Sensation.

The only ones who know Miley Stewart’s alter ego, that she’s the pop music star everyone’s raving about, are her closest friends:

• Lilly Truscott, one of her best friends (played by Emily Osment)

• Oliver Oken, her other best friend (played by Mitchel Musso)

• Jake Ryan, her ex-boyfriend (played by Cody Linley)

• Roxy, her bodyguard (played by Frances Callier)

and her family:

• Jackson, her brother (played by Jason Earles)

• And Robby, their father (played by none other than country music crooner Billy Ray Cyrus)

And in a stroke of casting wizardry, Miley Stewart and Hannah Montana her selves are played by Billy Ray Cyrus’ real-life daughter Miley Cyrus.

Hannah Montana has seen 2 seasons on the Disney Channel and nearly 50 episodes so far, with no signs of losing steam anytime soon.
