Elton John Tickets Information
Elton John is an English-born composer, pianist, and singer with five decades of musical performance under his belt. With more than 50 Top 40 hits and record sales of over 250 million, Elton John may best be known for his uniquely flamboyant fashion sense (those glasses are always a trip) and the theatricality with which he presents some of the world's most treasured love songs, ballads, and toe-tapping, booty-shaking pop hits.

Elton John has been inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame (along with Bernie Taupin) in 1992, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994; he's been knighted by the Queen of England in 1998, and received Kennedy Center Honors in 2004. His altered version of "Candle in the Wind" in honor of the tragic death of Princess Di earned him the Grammy for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for 1997.

Elton John songs are marked by gospel-toned chords, effusive orchestral arrangements, and his unmistakable tenor voice. Whether it's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road", "Crocodile Rock", "Bennie & the Jets", "Your Song", "Rocket Man", "Take Me to the Pilot", "Daniel", "Sad Songs", "I'm Still Standing", "Grey Seal", "The Bitch is Back", or any of his many others, it seems everybody has an Elton John song on their own personal list of top 10 favorites.

In his expansive career, it could probably be said that Elton John has collaborated with more famous musicians than there are keys on a piano, including: John Lennon, Guns N' Roses, Stevie Wonder, Queen, RuPaul, Tammy Wynette, K.D. Lang, Bonnie Raitt, Leonard Cohen, George Michael, Gladys Knight, Eminem, and more. But his most noteworthy collaboration might have been the Grammy winning (and groundbreaking) "We Are the World". He also cowrote the songs (many of them Academy Award nominees) for Disney's The Lion King, both the animated feature film and the Broadway show.

Today's Elton John tickets will grant you access to the spectacular presentation of songs from his upcoming album The Captain & the Kid, a sequel of sorts to the 1996 release Captain Fantastic & The Brown Dirt Cowboy, including the album's recently released first single, "The Bridge", as well as a retrospective of some of your favorite Elton John hits from over the years.

Elton John's The Captain & the Kid Tour will be in North America from January '07 - May '07, at which point he and his band head overseas to perform for his native UK and Europe. So get your Elton John tickets today and see Sir Elton John do what he does best - entertain!
