Cher Tickets Information
A multi-talented California-born superstar whose contributions to the arts span television, film, and (of course) music, Cher has not only won a Grammy for her musical performances but an Academy Award, an Emmy Award, and three Golden Globe Awards for her acting prowess too.
Cher has come a long way since her roots in musical and variety show partnership with Sonny Bono, launching her career in the public eye with the 1965 sensation Sonny & Cher. From her debut solo album “All I Really Want to Do” to her as-of-yet untitled forthcoming album, Cher has always strived for the top and never once looked back. She is now the second best-selling woman artist in the world, next to only Madonna, having sold no less than 2 3/4 million records to date, and the figures keep climbing.
Little known, in fact, is that Cher’s name appears twice in the esteemed “Guinness Book of World Records”: once as the sole female artist to reach the Top 10 record charts in every decade of her lengthy career, and once as the oldest female recording artist to ever achieve a number one hit.
Her hit song “Believe” is still receiving constantly airplay in dance clubs around the planet. And it’s not alone. Cher’s litany of crowd-pleasing singles are too numerous to count, including such chart-topping smash hits as After All, If I Could Turn Back Time, Strong Enough, All or Nothing,Song for the Lonely, A Different Kind of Love Song, and When the Money’s Gone.
Her filmic hits are almost as numerous as her musical hits, with such memorable Hollywood titles in her filmography as “Silkwood,” “Mask,” “Suspect,” “The Witches of Eastwick,” “Moonstruck,” and “Mermaids.” And her television roles included a pair of appearances as herself (and one as God herself) on the hit show “Will & Grace.”
Controversial, tattooed, outspoken, alluring, and never outdated or outdone (even at over 60 years of age now), Cher has risen through the ranks to becoming an eternal icon of show business. And with 25 studio albums (many of which have since gone gold, platinum, and even multi-platinum) and 96 hit singles to her credit, it is doubtful there will ever come another shining star quite like her.
Cher’s return to the Las Vegas stage, dubbed “Cher at the Colosseum,” debuted on May 6 th and initially ran for one month, but as of early August, she is once again giving it all she’s got, treating audiences to four incredible shows each week, all starting at 7:30 pm.
